Schools and services in Bannockburn set to be hit by strikes
24 NovemberCouncil services in Bannockburn are set to be badly affected by industrial action on Wednesday 30th November, with our local schools all set to be closed on the day, and many other services hit.
The national day of industrial action by public sector trade unions against proposed government changes to pensions will hit services provided by Stirling Council.
Stirling Council in consultation with the Trade Unions has made plans to ensure critical services are available to vulnerable citizens and to deal with emergency situations on the day of the strike – however all other Council services are likely to be restricted or suspended.
All Council run nurseries, primary and secondary schools will be closed to pupils. Parents and carers have been notified of the closures and they will need to make alternative childcare arrangements.
The Council’s Contact Centre will only be able to provide emergency service cover on the day on 0845 277 7000. You can find out more here on the Stirling Council website.
