  • A late try denied Bannockburn victory in a pre-season friendly against Jordanhill Phoenix

Bannockburn rugby club lost out to a late try in a close-fought friendly as they went down 29-24 to Jordanhill Phoenix in their last match before league action gets under way.

A late penalty by Bannockburn scrum-half Robert Kimmitt seemed to have done enough to win the game for Bannockburn, but Jordanhill fought back and took advantage of some tired tackling with a winning converted try.

Bannockburn will start their league season with a home match against Panmure on Saturday 4th September.
