Five-figure sum JCB stolen from Bannockburn yard

A JCB worth tens of thousands of pounds has been stolen from a yard in Bannockburn.

The vehicle – registration P46 LSC - was secured in the locked yard of Gilchrist Landscaping at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, February 15.

At about 5am on Thursday, February 16, a vehicle was seen near the site and when staff arrived at the yard at 7.55pm, they saw that the gate had been broken open and the JCB was gone.

It is believed the vehicle may have been driven along the back of the Bannockburn Bus Depot and out onto Cowie Road, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicle or who may have noticed people acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the theft.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Central Scotland Police on 01786 456000, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
