Fire crews called out as floods hit Bannockburn area

Fire crews have been kept busy in and around Bannockburn, as they were called out to a number of flooding incidents as a result of torrential rain.
The incidents came from Monday night onwards as storms and flooding hit the area, and at least two of the incidents in the local area have involved firefighters rescuing people from cars trapped in rising flood water.
Joe Andrews, Group Manager Operations, said: "We are prepared and equipped to deal with situations such as flooding and our crews have been very busy overnight dealing with a number of flood related incidents.
"We would particularly advise people to take care when driving on the roads and only make journeys that are necessary."
